The loss of a loved one is one of the most tragic and devastating things a person could endure. I remember that taking this particular photograph even through the front window of the car was… unsettling. I felt guilty for imposing. Sometimes I don’t press the shutter button because this guilt doesn’t seem to be worth the end result.

Streets of Dublin

Photographing people is one of my passions. It is worth getting out on the gloomy day and walking down the street with the camera in your hands. Amazing characters pop up on every corner – all that is needed is a look through the viewfinder. I find that waist level camera is far less alarming. My Bronica makes it so easy to sneak up on the photographs.


     Sometimes pure luck and good timing make a great photograph. 25 fire fighters and five fire tenders were involved in fighting the fire which broke out at Terenure Road West on 1st of April 2011. RTE News report.
